Radio/trip/temperature display

I've obviously done something wrong and now my trip computer display's decided to keep itself permanently backlit! Anyone have any ideas on what I've done and how to fix it?

tell me what wires you have put where mjb
also have you had to replace any of the fuses?

Fuses: I've blown F25 a couple of times

Wires: Currently there's 2 unconnected wires attached to the instrument console, and 4 unconnected wires soldered to the trip comp PCB. All connections are electrically sound.

When trying to get something to work I had:
Trip comp pin 5 -> switch -> (sometimes resistors) -> earth
Trip comp pin 6 -> attached to wire 4310 (brown) on the instrument cluster cable
Trip comp pin 10 -> attached to wire 465 (grey) on the instrument cluster cable
Trip comp pin 12 -> nowhere yet

are you sure your putting f25 back in the right spot, ive done this a few times

Hmm there doesn't seem to be an F25A in the haynes, but I'm not going to rule it out! and I'll have a look tomorrow.

Have I mentioned yet that I REALLY hate the fusebox position? Sucks to have to change fuses by kneeling in the road no matter how wet/cold it is

most of the haynes manual wiring diagrams are utter shite

The Mk.1 Laguna one is just as bad. It's a shame they seem to be pretty crap now. Back in the day my dad had a Lada Riva and the Haynes manual despite being half the size of the 406 one, was incredibly detailed and couldn't be faulted at all
