Got a 2002 D9 Estate HDi. Also got (finally) the PP2000 to work with the car. So far I got rit of all the minor errors stored in the various control modules. Even got my remote blip thingy to work again with the Central Lock. Got the rear wiper configured so it turns on when in reverse and the front wipers on - NICE FEATURE
ONLY thing not working - my rain sensor. At 1. notch, the wipers goes on intermittent (5 SEC delay). NO indication in mfd. NO amber light in rain sensor. PP2000 says permanent power supply fault to rain sensor. I'm trying to figure out the wiring for this da.. thing, and here is where I thought you experts might had some vice words
Best Regards

I accidentally disabled my auto wipers when configuring the rear wiper to come on with the front, just as you have. Sorry, I do not remember exactly which parameter was incorrect, but fairly sure all I did wrong was to press space when another feature was highlighted.
When mine was not working, I think it only wiped the screen once and there was no message on the display to say it was active.
I just looked more carefully at the options again and realised which one was wrong, it may have been Automatic Wipers (Present / Not present).
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)

2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
Just checked it. Doesn't seem to be the case, though. I've set the sensor to "least sensitive". The error readings for the BSI says "permanent power supply error to Rain Sensor".
My rain sensor has 4 wires in the plug. Does anyone know the different ones? which one is the power?

Well today I measured a little on the sensor, and it raised more questions...
The sensor has 4 wires (see pics below). perm + on the brown. According to Haynes wiring diagram there should only be 3 wires in the plug???
Also I found out (via ebay) that my sensor is for a pug 607. Does it HAVE to be from the exact correct model?
Apparently the Bosch no on the sensor has to be: 96 467 555 80 in order to be for a 406, but does it matter???
