Some say it throws flames to destroy and kill the Renaults on the road.
Some say it destroys the Fords too
All we know is, it was my birthday last week so who ever buys it can give to me as a late present eh?

GTi 6 engine with 189.4 bhp
Why bother? It isn't a real T16, so not really worth anything more than any other modified 205.

Shush - It looks like a T16 and people definitely judge a book by it's cover.........
It's still going to go like stink anyway so people won't know the difference........ :)

While we are on this subject..........

What are the most common faults / problems with a 205 GTi (1987)?
I may well be up North on Saturday looking at one with a friend so wanted to know the most common places or faults........
It's a GTi that's been converted to run on R1 motorbike carbs.........

Look for rust and evidence of bad boy racer mods, such as badly lowered suspension and cheap aftermarket parts. Check in the boot and under the bonnet for evidence of accidents. Most GTIs have been through a hedge or two in their lifetimes. Other than that, there really isn't much to go wrong.

If it's really got 4 individual carbs, have fun tuning them! I still haven't got it quite right on my motorcycle.

I remember in the late 80's/early 90's when the 1.6 and 1.9 GTi's were all the rage......

I also remember seeing a young lad with 3 passengers trapped against the steering wheel of one in a head-on (can still picture his face now) and the other accident where one 'took off' hitting a traffic island and ended up in flames killing 2 occupants.

Those cars are as weak as piss and fold up like a paper bag on impact. I like the GTi but I wouldn't want to jostle with modern cars out there :|
