Urgh... this is so tempting

Post by Captain Jack »

Not that there is much wrong with my car, other than immense rattles from everywhere but this looks quite tempting. Has all the toys, sub 5K and miles aren't too bad.

Meh... I just spent £600 on getting mine through MOT and it recently had a new clutch/DMF and cambelt. Just seems like I've wasted a lot of money on my '6 if I decide to get rid of it.

Red leather is nice - different!

I thought Volvodom beckoned for forum members old enough to remember the 50s :P

There's a black one with red leather somewhere on AutoTrader and at a good price.

Tis a shame that I think the Silver colour doesn't really do the 407 any favours? They always look better in darker colours to me.

Peugeot generally have some very good colours -- they make other marques either look dull or look garish. However, the current trend for black, grey, silver, or white is just so boring!

I'd settle for any colour that doesn't show dirt, I'm sick to the back teeth of washing cars :frown:

They all have good & bad really. I've seen some Mk3 Mondeos in a lovely petrol blue & BMW used to do a really nice shade of purple. Blaze yellow was a love it or hate it colour on a lot of the 306s. But who remembers the vomit yellow that VW did on the Mk4 Golf? Rover in the mid 90s also had some hideous shades - I remember seeing a 400 in what looked like khaki green. Also, who on earth went into the Vauxhall showrooms when the Mk2 Cavalier first came out & opted to have one in the same colour as red primer? That wasn't a period thing either as when the new Nissan Navara came out in 2005 our boss bought one in what was called Storm Grey - but we all told him that they'd just sprayed lacquer on top of the grey primer!

Do you mean 'Luton Pink'?

It's that thinly-applied 'Red' that the sun rays love so much and is the unfortunate trade mark of many Corsa's, Arsetrays and Vectra's of the early 2000's :|
