Bargain Basement Pug?

Post by steve_earwig »

So there I was, scanning the ads to see how valueless my D9 is these days, when I came across a Peugeot 301. A what? Nah, that's a 508 surely? Nope, it's a Peugeot 301, which seems to be a new, cut-price Pug that's not available in the UK (which is why I couldn't find it on Honest Johan :frown: ): http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/peugeot/20 ... eugeot-301 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peugeot_301_%282012%29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peugeot_301_%282012%29

It doesn't actually look too bad to me, like the 508 I reckon they must have upped whichever idiot that's been styling Pugs for the last 10 years or so's lithium or something. I just hope it's not as disappointing in the flesh as the 508 was :(

Hmm, launched at the Paris Motor Show back in September, maybe I should read some of those emails Pug send me, instead of dropping them straight in the trash

Doesn't look bad and in some way better than the 508.

This is like the Renault Logan, isn't it? Only available in "emerging" countries... but it wouldn't have been a bad thing to have such cars here. Not everyone is flush with cash :|

2021 - ????: 2016 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 180bhp Titanium

So Croatia is an emerging country? Emerging from what, the stone age?

Logans are still Dacia here. My sis-in-law has one, I used to think the build quality was appalling (but then I started driving a Toyota  )

Yeah I quite like it. So what is it, small / medium saloon? I'd prefer the styling of that to a 308 but couldn't cope with a saloon again, they'd have to do a hatch or estate to get me properly interested.
