Oi Oi OI... Won't have any slating of my Mondingo! I'm a Peugeot man through and through.
The only reason I don't have a PSA car now is because the C5 felt like it was going to fall apart and the 407 just felt dated. I hate to admit it but Ford actually got it right with the Mk4 Mondeo.

Re: Do you know what...
Okay Sam, if you lost space in the garage and could only have 1 polish / wax, 1 interior cleaner and 1 cloth - what would you choose...????
My Autoglym has turned to water since I bought it - it was a long time ago - and I'm looking to replace it and maybe actually wash and polish my car.......
You obviously know your stuff by the way, cars and car care.
(I only bought a 406'cos I couldn't afford a Mk4 Mondy)

There's two main reasons normally;lozz wrote:I dont know what they get out of scratching peoples cars
First is - you've pissed someone off and they want revenge (to create an expensive repair for you).
Second is complex - a social problem, and a psychological one, some person with 'issues' see's an expensive shiny car and it represents everything that they perceive to be wrong in their own lives so, for them, a coping mechanism is to damage the car as a way of instantly de-valuing it or in other words "if I can't have it then neither can you". Taken to an extreme every decent car out there would be burnt to the ground, this isn't practical but a sneaky scratch works for them and they feel better for it

It's my biggest fear when parking near passers by, even outside my work in on the cut-through to the college down the road but I've never had any bother - in fact my car attracts very little attention and I like it that way.

Re: Do you know what...
I occasionally go off on a day dream (ebay search) of picking up a Disco 3 or 02/03 Range Rover. I do little enough miles that I could in theory stomach the abysmal MPG and I spend most of the winter weekends towing my caravan to one muddy field or another...lozz wrote:I'm not arsed really but iwouid be if it was a newish car,
But if I had spent 10k+ on a car I don't think I would ever park it anywhere. At least the 406 with it's lightly customized front wing I don't think twice about abandoning on the side of a road.

I think we can disregard the first reason as three of the neighbours were done as well ,I live on a busy street so anyone could have done itWelly wrote:There's two main reasons normally;lozz wrote:I dont know what they get out of scratching peoples cars
