That sounds about right, you should be able to get to it by standing on your head in the driver's footwell...

Re: Instrument failure ??
Bit of an update really, and I could be tempting fate, but ...........
I've just come back with my caravan from Poole, and since using the Pug for towing duties, all the instruments have behaved as they should, for a whole week
which is something they have never done ! Maybe the shock of using a 406 90 for towing has woken the French electrics up a bit ?

Bit more of an update............
Well, my clocks continued to play up, and last weekend I finally found the right set on the dreaded Bay. I duly asked the seller ( a trader ) what the recorded mileage was, and he told me 95k, which is good as I needed a set with lower mileage than my own. So, a few days later the clocks arrive, and they are indeed the exact model and appear in good condition. Out with the old clocks, in with the new, fire her up and..............
You've guessed it, the milege on the clocks, and therefore now my ECU has gone from 115k to 134K, without me even turning a wheel
To say I'm a little bit peeved is an understatement, and when I email the seller asking why he lied about the milege, all he said is return them if you don't want them
Oh, and to really brighten up my week, it turns out the speedo still drops to zero just like the old one did, so the clocks weren't at fault anyway
