Anyone have PP2000 in Oxon, Glos, Swindon?

Post by Sonia406 »

Hi peoples!

ABS sensor done.
Car still throwing up ABS fault.
Would like to know if someone local has a PP2000 to come and hook her up to see where the fault lies and perhaps clear the faults for me?

But on other news today, ran into Dave at the petrol station who has the 406 estate that did the help for heros rally.... :) Lovely chap, nice to meet you!

Hi Sonia,

Check this out. There are a couple of people available with PP2000. You need to register on the forum and make 20 posts before PMing though. "Geoff Reid" is in Swindon and offered his use of PP2000 to me a few weeks ago so he's a good bet.

Cheers

No I didn't but then again it's not specifically set out with the 406 in mind :)

The abs light normally goes off after a short run on French cars,
I've never had to use diag stuff after replacing sensors,

Done 2 miles (it is off road remember  ) so I can't give it much of a run.
However thrashed it within an inch of it's life to get the red-ex through the system and it didn't come back on.
An hour later, put the key in the ignition and before I even attempted to turn the key it beeped up ABS FAULT.........
So in total, 4 times it's come back on with the new sensor........

1st time - Reversed it an inch back on first start up with new sensor in place.
2nd time - idle on the drive after 5 minutes of 'warming up'
3rd time - thrashed it down the road and back, 10 minutes later on the drive.
4th time - few hours later, key in ignition didn't even try to turn engine over and it beeped up

Have you had a look over the abs rings,
You've more than likely have but thought it was worth a mention,
