Spaniel's ears?
My sis-in-law here has a cocker spaniel called Dori, his ears drag in everything so the ends are all matted with crap. He actually has a scarf/bag thing he wears in winter so they don't drag in the snow, I suppose it is a bit like a bra but what this has to do with boobs is beyond me

You can always put some nylon wrapping on the bonnet,it protects color of the bonnet and from minor scratches.
