fuel solenoid valve in front wing.

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Since tifhrning the little screw up in the centre of this valve to stop the ticking noise,I have a petrol smell when the window is down.its definitely coming from that area,so is it possible I have upset anything.

If its the valve I'm thinking of
Its part of the emissions control.

If the pipes are connected tightly and still the same
I'd try winding the screw out a turn,

They're normally abit ticky anyway, something you shouidnt hear with the bonnet

Did you wind it in too far, :?:

Wind it back out abit at a time and see if the fuel vapour stops,
