Trying to clear out a load of the old Peugeot bits & found some brand new brake discs & pads for a 406 front & rear. Had a quick check on Euro Car Parts (which is where I bought them from) & it appears that they are ok to fit to pretty much all D9 406s (even the 3.0).
It's all still boxed up & I think it was the Pagid ones which are slightly higher quality (didn't pull the box out to check). If I remember right, I think I also bought a pair of CV boots too.
According to the Euro Car Parts website, it would cost over £100. Anybody fancy making an offer for it all before it goes on Ebay with the rest of the stuff I put on over the weekend?

I doubt it now. If a decent exampe had turned up whilst I was looking then I was up for fitting the boot seats in myself, but I've now got a Zafira with very low mileage that should do the job for a long while. I looked at a few which were supposedly in good condition, but had more ripples down the sides than the Irish Sea. Are you looking at collecting or postage as there's a fair bit of weight to it all?Floodys wrote:Hello mate! Not going back to good ole reliable 406 then? I can arrange collection via Hermes if you could give me a rough weight? Or there's a possibility that a mate from Southampton could collect.

I reckon Hermes could be expensive with the weight (& they'd probably drop the discs). If you can stretch to a nice round £50 & get your mate from Southampton to pop up (or pop in yourself when passing like you did the last couple of times) you can pick out any other useful bits & bobs out of my little stash of goodies that I've still got on the shelves in the shed.Floodys wrote:I can arrange collection via Hermes if you could give me a rough weight? How does that sound?

I sent a 50l compressor with them to scotland for only the £6.50 memtioned earlier! Cheers . I may just get front pads and discs off you.

Re: Anybody Due A Brake Change Soon?
Managed to get in to where they were today. Slightly embarrassing, as it turns out I only have the front discs & pads & the CV boots. Turns out what I thought were front & rear brakes for a 406 were actually fronts for a 406 & fronts for a BMW 5 Series, so the Beemer discs & pads are now heading over to the old fella's for his 523i.
I've taken down the part numbers for the discs & pads & here are the links to them:

They are indeed the higher quality Pagid items & they weigh just over 16kg, so would easily come under the cheap Hermes bracket based on what you've sent previously. If you still want just the front set & CV boots, let me know. If you still want to use Hermes, I can try to get hold of a sturdy box that I can put it all in.
