I need to change sparkplugs on 406 2.0 turbo version from 1997.
Dont want to buy some crap sparkplugs or some expensive ones which are wrong for this 406.
What are your favorites,which do you use,some recommend to buy those EYQUEM,with 3 electrodes.
Have researched some on the internet and see a lot of low quality imports from china since this is east europe,and we here are driving roman chariots still
Since this beautifull 406 has served me very well,i want to treat her with something quality product.
If nobody else here has any suggestions I can ask my buddy in the car spares store, he seems to know what he's doing. The Toyota's meant to have some really expensive plug but he recommended me something much cheaper. Ok, I have to replace them more often but they didn't give me any problems so far (unlike the rest of the car)
Well,i have been driving on this sparkplugs 6 years now,i think its about time to replace them,have asked on few other forums what people think
and most of them agree that those Eyquem are good sparks.

No increase in performance ..so no gains..
A lot of these plugs that are advertised as all singing and dancing are just placebo

I've been to see my mate and asked him about these EYQUEM plugs 'cos I never heard of them before. After trying to spell it out I had to show him this page and he said "ah yes, Eyquem". He says they're meant to be a French make but they're not, his very words were "Please don't put this Chinese bullshit in your car." He recommends Denso, even better Denso Iridium but they're rather pricey. He even offered to do you a deal on them and send them through the post
Personally I'm a bit suspicious about Denso these days as all the electronics in a certain malfunctioning piece of junk are Denso...
Yes,i know that Eyquen supposed to be french but they are produced in china so i was curious about that.
Specially when i saw china eyquem are for unimportant markets such as africa,middle asia,eastern europe...
My frend has peugeot 605 and he said he uses those Eyquen with 3 el.and that they are good so i wanted to hear second opinion.
These days im not anymore sure in nothing,everything comes from china,famous name doesnt mean anything.

Funny thing on my Turbo Volvo is that the BEST plugs are the OE Volvo ones people have tried other makes but always go back to standard. My standard ones from the stealers are so cheap I change them every 12,000 miles
The Mitsu-be-sh*t FTO we had ran Iridium plugs on the rear bank of cylinders (which were an arse to access) and standard plugs on the front bank (gotta love them crazy Japanese )

I just took the plugs out of my 2001 EW10J4 after 140000 km, 11 years, been in there since new, they were still in good nick not burnt, not black, just an light brown. These plugs are just marked Peugeot. I wanted to use NGK LFR5B recommended by Peugeot Citroen and Renault and made in France, but they were unavailable here in Thailand so I've gone for Eyquem RFN52Hz meanwhile I've ordered the NGKs in case the eyquem fail
