2.1td Head

Hi there i am looking for a 2.1Turbo Diesel head complete.

I have just telephoned about a 406 with the cambelt broken and am looking for the price of parts before i bid him.

Please help

i wouldnt bother, well thats just my opinion, to remove the head on 2.1 you have to either remove the engine, or remove the, radiator, intercooler, condenser and slam panel, and tilt the engine forward, even if you do the work yourself it wouldnt be cost effective

Why do you have to take the engine out. I have replaced a head on a 605 2.1 TD a couple of years ago and we left everything in.

Please forward some details of your car and price etc.

The bonnet and engine bay on a 605 would be quite a bit bigger than the 406. I remember reading that the engine had to come out for a head gasket renewal when I first bought mine.

I spent 4 years praying it wouldn't happen while I owned it!

yeah, as neil said, the 605 engine bay is huge compared to the 406, and the 2.1 in the 406 is inclined a hell of a lot more than the 605, hence why its so much harder in the 406
