Hi everyone. Please help! How do I remove the BSI unit on a Peugeot 406? I know where it is (behind the fuse panel under the steering wheel. Problem is, access through the panel is limited. Can anyone tell me what screws etc. need to be removed and in what order? Been a nightmare so far - any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Re: BSI unit removal
There is plenty of screws but its easy enough
Remove the kick panel or fuse box cover completely, then try and remove the right side bit of the dash, there could be about 10 screws all torx and a few 10mm nuts then the side bit of the dash pulls away and you have easy access to the BSI. Alternativley trying to remove it with the bit of dash in place is awkward

Re: BSI unit removal
I have just removed the bsi on my (lhd) 406 and it was easy.
Remove the exterior dash panelling as in thread above.
Remove the one screw on the side of the bsi plastic holding bracket .
Remove the single torx screw in the front recessed hole of the fuse-box and a single 10mm bracket bolt holding the fusebox and this will allow you to jiggle the fusebox upwards to clear the bsi plugs and wiring and allow you to pull the bsi forward out of it's tray.
I'm inputting on a thread I started some time ago which may be of interest before you start removing your bsi!!
