Seatbelts in the washing machine

it was indeed fun doing a mini mythbusters style test, making the video didnt really take very long 30mins tops.

It's clearly had no effect on the seat belt at all, though I think the un-washed belt snapped a lot sooner than the washed one, maybe my eyes were deceiving me?

I think a possible improvement to the test would be to put measurements or a tape on the ground and a line on a tractor showing how far it moved back in each case,
with the second test i think the reason it took longer was i was slower at releasing the clutch, its quite heavy and i hit my knee getting out of the tractor out of the first test.
It might be a good idea to get one of the smaller tractors and someone in it (to apply the brakes when the belt breaks), and tow it up a hill to see how far they can go up the hill before the belt snaps.

There is still a pair of old carinas sitting at the bottom of the yard i think there is still belts in them, ill cut them out and do the test again soon, and perhaps let the washed belt dry fully before doing the test on it.

Ive towed loads of cars with seatbelts and not seen one break.
theyre mega strong.. Unlike tow ropes..
