Tax

Post by Sonia406 »

Why is it, when I taxed the car at a DVLA office in Oxford on Wednesday morning is it coming up on the 'vehicle enquiry' via the DVLA website as ''Sorn due to expire''?
Surely BY NOW it should be reading as 'licensed'?
Interestingly, is the DVLA records what the ANPR systems read? Just wondering if a traffic cop found us the weekend we would of been pulled
I did take all documents with me in case that happened as I have been daily monitoring the 'sorn due to expire' thing

Any ideas? Surely it really shouldn't take this long to change?

Sometimes, the data base can take a while to be updated,
I've checked cars with expired tax on the .gov.UK site, and they've still come up as licenced,

I guess they must do block work,

Update a 1000 at once instead of 1 at a time, that's just a guess mind,

Thanks Lozz,

Spoke to them today, said it can take 'up to 7 days' but 'if still not on by the end of the week give them a call back'
End of the week will be 9 days since I taxed it

Buffoons. Fast enough taking our money
