Why not make something on the garage wall out of some unistrut or similar so you can just bolt the spare wheels onto the wall?

One of the diagrams shows them being hung so I don't think that'd be a problem. If the tyres are on wheels.

Don't store them standing up, they'll develop flat spots. The previous owner of my car did this and I had to throw out a perfectly good set of winter tyres because of really bad flat spots.
Oops! Were they on rims or off?

I think the Yoyo's winters are going to get kicked into a pile again :?
They were on wheels when I got them, and obviously had a couple of winters on them already, judging from the tread. They still had at least one good winter left in them, but I couldn't stand driving on them anymore.

After reading this post I shall be storing mine stacked on their sides, in pairs.

While I had this rear o/s wheel off I stored that upright, but that was supported by the rim..
Surely, this is all common sense anyway?
Rim on - supported in upright position.
Without rim - gravity takes its toll?

I think I'll acquire or manufacture some racking that will allow me to produce a shelving unit and a space to store the 4 wheels, upright and side by side. I don't think the tyres will be damaged by the contact points, but if this was a concern perhaps some material slung between the beams would help?

I'll probably buy bags like these to keep them in too, just to keep them clean.

Another alternative would be to somehow hook the bags by their handles....

Why does everybody keep saying that they're stacking in pairs? We used to stack them 20 high. The only stuff we stacked in pairs were earthmover tyres & that was only because they were too fu*king heavy to lift any higher!

if your really worried about stacking 4 on there sides buy 4 tubes and pump them up in the un mounted tyres when you come to remount then in the winter they will be a lot easier to get to seal on the rims
