Wow - scary man!

47p a mile, so why do I only get 30p a mile in expenses then?

Actually I worked it out years ago and came up with about 50p a mile so I'm quite pleased with those calculations, makes me think twice about driving 20 miles just to send the nipper off to sleep though! :?

Mine said 28p/mile 8)

Mind you it's difficult to decide how much your car will be worth in the end, and how much you will spend on repairs (being a Peugeot).

I put my car down as £8k bought last year, keep for 5 years, then worth £3k.

43p per mile.

I find it hard to believe though that if I hadn't borrowed £6500 over 2 years (5.9%), then that would drop to 23p per mile.

I'd only needed £4000 loan, but still had £2,500 owing on the 206 loan, so combined the both. Still can't see how the loan makes such a difference.
