Hi,

I have recently bought my 406 estate. Just looking for a few little bits...

The carpet lock down clips from the boot.

If you have the rear roll down sun screen and the luggage barrier I would be interested in those too.

Regards David

Hi David, I guess yours is the 7 seater as the rear blind fits into a slot on the boot lid cover. I removed mine from the 7 seat conversion I bought for my car as it rattled too much..!!
When you say lock down clips, do you mean the silver ones you screw in near the back-door or the push-fit black ones?
The other parts you mentioned didn't come with the car ( it was only a cheap donor car anyway ) but lots and lots of other bits and bobs are still available.
Are you local?

The screw in ones please if you have them.

I don't have the seven seater, but is something I was considering, would not recommend??

Hi David. I only guessed it was a 7 seat as the rear blind is only really used for the benefit of the extra 2 in the boot. I have a blind but the tailgate cover is being used as it has the emergency exit button in it. The blind fits into a slot in this cover so it can retract, or it would just flap around.....

I have the screw in types with the mounts available, £4 including postage.

The 7 seater is okay, have used the extra seats once or twice since fitting them a couple of months ago. The downside is you lose a bit of height in the boot as the seats with surrounding carpet is on top of the boot floor and when you fold middle seats forward to carry big stuff, there is a no longer a big flat space but a big space with different levels.

Those clips at that price would be magic ;)

I'll rethink the seven seat idea (the boot is immense) but I would like a temporary seating solution, thought maybe there would be easy bolt in, bot out I could use when visiting family to ease days out etc.

Anyway enough of my blathering...

How would you like to be paid?

While I'm talking to you... Fitted mats? The ones that came with her are pretty small basic fit all.

The 7 seats were easy to fit, just bolt in and they are easy to lift up or fold away - takes seconds to do. I bought mine for £75 from eBay. I don't notice the lack of height in the boot, only when I lower ' middle row ' seats to carry bulky things and there is a bit of a lip and hard to drag thinks back out again!!

I got the donor car from a local chap who was stripping the car. I wanted the front wing, rear passenger door and a headlight for my car and his was same colour too. After trying to arrange collection of the parts for nearly 9 months, he said I could buy the whole car, so I did 8)

Some parts were removed before I collected the car ( battery :( radio, mats and other universal parts ) but I wasn't really bothered by this.

Since getting the car I discovered it was soooooo much nicer than mine, so I ended up swapping many many bits over and I now have a healthy spares box too.

Mats available on eBay, wilkinsons etc, genuine pug ones without holes are hard to find, sorry.

Sorry Buddy,

Re-read and I'm a little confused...

The clips I require are the ones that allow you to undo them to gain access to the spare wheel etc... if they are the ones we have been discussing then yes you have a deal at £4.00...

You have my address PM'd.

Is it pay-pal? or I can transfer direct to your account through internet banking

Regards David.

Hi David, PM sent.

I only mentioned the push fit ones as I originally thought you had a 7 seater. The screw in ones are not compatible with 7 seaters as the boot carpet is an inch thicker and the extra seats have clips built in.

I will dig out the clips later, when my boys are in bed.

I need to siphon the fuel from my donor car too but keep forgetting and end up going to petrol station..

What technique did you use, I have already removed and sold the fuel lines in the engine bay but can access them under back seat.

After tirelessly sucking on a long garden hose and getting dribbles or a mouthful of diesel followed by dribbles, I relented to a little Rolson hand pump after removing the fuel lift pump (I think) I just pumped out onto a 5 litre can several times, transferring across. That was a fun filled afternoon.

If your tank is near full this is not recommended... I wasted a pool about 4 x 2 foot :(

Hi, no sorry it never came with the car.

Plenty on eBay though, will just need to be coded to your car when you fit one. Aim to get a CD one as they have a built in amp and sound good..!!
