Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Running lights

Post by grasmere59 »

I'm fed up looking at my spotlights full of condensation (dry them out and 2 weeks later back to square one),anyway I have bought a pair of spotlight blanks and was thinking of painting them satin black and putting in some led daytime running lights, what do you reckon? Which would be the best ones to get as been trawling the bay and theres so many,i want some that look bright not those you can hardly see,any suggestions guys/gals?

That might look quite nice....

Would you go for a shape to follow the line of the cover a bit like, ahem, Audis?

I didn't mean a chavvy one, but a bit smarter than just a Halfords type ' straight line '.

If your gonna do it, do it with a bit of thought.. 8)

I'd want to cut them in to sit flush but the shaped ones I can see seem to be a surface mounting which would look naf,i agree though that shaped ones would look better.

Might look better if they weren't LEDs - I'm toying with the idea of putting an extra 21W bulb inside the foglights, there's plenty of room.

The trouble is that the foglights condensate up all the time, they were new (aftermarket) ones 8 months ago and no matter what I try they just condense up and look awfull,as i hardly ever use them i was looking at other options.

Same here, but I'm thinking the heat from the running lights will dry 'em out
