As I said that was not a dig at Puggy.
I worked in a care home for ''older people'' and I loved that job. I respect the older person a lot.
ALL of us will become that older person one day but if you put yourself in the position of this older driver yesterday who was clearly shaken and scared at what she'd just done - none of us are looking forward to getting old BUT none of us deserve to be in that position where we have just caused serious injury or death to someone else because we were too proud to admit (or didn't realize) that our driving style had deteriorated.
We talk about this a lot in my driver training mode. The thorny question being when are you old? In my 20s 45 seemed very old, now I am 45, that's not the case. People also age at radically different rates.
I fear this is one of those things that is easier said than done.
