FAN NOT SITTING SQUARE

Post by BLIECOWROCKS »

Hi just noticed one fan not sitting square and abit tough to turn at a certain point. Presumably they are supposed to be central and turn freely? Found the brown connector which sends the signal to the fan, only thing is there are 3 spade connectors and they are not live! Do I have the right connector it sits alongside the green one I think that is the temp sensor. Anyway any advice please as you ve probably realized I am not a mechanic but I havn t got any money to pay one either. Be nice to diagnose it and fix it myself. Cheers response please. :?

I'd guess the three connectors on the fan would be power, ground and a fan speed sensor. With a large fan like a radiator fan it would make sense for the car to cut power to a fan that's not turning to save 1) electric and 2) frying the motor

If it's not turning easily then the bearings in it have probably died and it'll need replacing

Just a guess...
