mines a v06 version the f11 did nothing. I did try a totally different DAM code which did the same results I even picked a random different car & it asked me was this my vin number which it hadn't ever done before which was correct . I might see if I can buy a different disk if its not too dear

Just got the cd with version 6 & 7 on it. So hopefully give it a go monday on the older or different versions of this did u have to download a mount programme such as daemon tools like I was told to to get it to work ?????

No mate, if you have xp on the laptop, it should install fine.

Ah right so basically u pop your disc in & click away it goes ???? A think a may be taking u up on that offer of a disc. As when I got mine sorted using that daemon tool which I've had no luck with & then as told in the instructions there was a how to guide on the internet that had adverts & crap with it. Now I've had to get my netbook wiped again ;-(

hi all i just got a pp2000 today after i got it installed (not as easy as it looks) i tried it on my 406 it said "access to the vehicle communication card impossible validate or try again" after that it asked me for a DAM. i'm sure i tried it on ignition position 1 & 2....what's that all about plz ???????????? any help would be much apreciated

Hi brian, how did you get round the vehicle comms card validation, because mine just keep's saying VCI not connected/reconised

Tbh I've just left it for the last few weeks but my symptons were. I think the external disc drive I was using on my netbook wasn't connecting properly or playing up, so I've ordered a new 1. As a fellow guy on here sent me a spare disc that didn't need a download as the 1 got with my pp2000 used a download off the internet to mount it called DAEMON tools which wouldn't work. So is it dodgy usb ports or me being useless with telchnology ;-((

My guess is that you have a sh*t clone interface like 90% of sellers of ebay sell. My auto eletrician as a clone interface dated back from 2009 or 2008 can't remember and it can't communicate with my 406 and my brother in law 406 same year and even same ECU, i did have problems with communication when i had another ECU but with this one didn't ( yes my ECU was changed ) and my brother in law never changed ecu and the comms to his ecu were alwasy good and the interface still didn't enter on his car. So the problem is the interface it always has been, if on the seller descripiton says that it doesn't work with the 307 and C5, then it's probably not going to work with the 406.

Well, the seller of mine states that it is version 7.04 & is compatable with the 307 & C5, it's just we did the install wrong apparently
My I.T buddy is going throu it as I speek, so fingers crossed
