Re: Air Bag Light, perennial problem.

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

This forum has been invaluable to me in keeping my ’02 110hdi 406 on the road but now I’ve hit a brick wall and hope someone can throw some light on my problem before I have to resort to booking it into a workshop.

As the title alludes to I have the air bag light showing, it’s been like this for the last 10/11 months but of course now it won’t pass the MOT.

I’ve removed the connectors from below both the drivers and front passengers seats and directly soldered the wires together and replaced the comm2000 unit (the indicator was very floppy, thanks steve_earwig for your knowledge base article) but to no avail. The air bag light and notification still lights up indicating a problem.

Is there anything else I can/should be looking at before a trip to the dealers workshop?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Chris.

Fixed :D
Checked electrical connectors and found one was not pushed in all the way :?
So old comm2000 unit was the problem.
