I am looking for someone in leicestershire with pp2000 to please get me out of very deep s**t.

They can be had for a lot less than that. £60 or £70 should get you one. Just needs a lappy with XP on (or an XP partition) to run it.

Have already decided this is probably the way to go, just cash is so tight a the mo, but it's gonna cost £80 for the local sparks to sort it so might as well spend it on pp2000 & then sort out a laptop to suit

Not on mainland Europe they are not but don't disagree they can be had from say alibaba (China) for the price markw mentions.
Personally I preferred to pay the price asked by a well known Scottish ebay seller who promises and I can vouch for 1st class back up.
The one thing I discovered and would be interested if other pp2000 users the same? Mine only worked when connected to the internet.
This would present a problem if say I tried any diagnostic away from my own or without any wifi...

Yes you're right. That's the price when it gets shipped from China on the banana boat.
Mine was from there but came surprisingly quickly.
You pays your money and takes your choice!

My PP2000 was a clone, UK seller but Chinese origin. £75 from eBay and a basic cheap laptop with XP was £30 from eBay too.

Well worth having - if a little troublesome to set up and install in the beginning.

I don't use mine any where near its full potential but good for checking / clearing faults and then asking the forum for ideas....

Right well I've took the plunge & bought pp2000 with all the bell's & wistles £ 85.95 inc p&p + a suitable laptop for £106.95 inc p&p
Just wait for the laptop to turn up then the battle can comence I'll keep you all posted

If you're dedicating the laptop for PP2000 only suggest you re-install xp pro (which will involve a re-format of the hd) and nothing else excepting your internet connection which you'll need to download all the ecu guff.
Found mine worked better without any anti virus or mal-ware prog to block the PP2000 software load. Good luck..

Thanks Malc, I've been told by the seller of the software to use xp on it's own without any anti-virus or firewalls etc just hope it works out

Right, I've got it all & all loaded to lap top with a fresh install of windows xp pro, all firewalls & anti-virus's disabled,so far so good just tryed to connect to the car & keep getting VCI not connected message coming up . Help please many thanks Paul.
