I have to say, since getting the 406 early in the year this forum's been a source of info that I'd have been absolutely lost without.
Anyway, Big Blue (our 406 GLX 2.0l HDi saloon) has just flashed the spanner on the tripometer so we've booked her in for a service. Since purchase (at the bargain-basement price of £150) we've only had 1 major issue (offside rear suspension went wonky - repaired for £150) and I have to say this car's been a joy to use - just short of 700 miles from a full tank, comfy - a joy to own.
So, hoping to keep her running sweet - and to ensure that the best bang-per-buck oil goes in at the service - I've been advised by a Pug owner that this stuff's the best to buy and have added during the service: Total Quartz Ineo ECS 5W30.
Not being up to speed on this sort of thing I thought it best to ask the experts on this good forum what their take on it would be.
