Cruise Control stopped working

Well after 2 events that happened on my babe i found out that the cruise stopped working dont know which one was the cause but probably the first one, this 2 situations happened in almost 1 week separately but i haven't used cruise in that week.

1st event : Done a remap with nutski ecu file, the engine light was on all the time the engine was running ( it was only at iddle ) right after i replaced his file to mine again, what i noticed is that his hardware and software versions is totally different from mine his hardware ended in something like 363 and mine is 249, mine is one plug only probably his is 3 plug ecu.

2nd event: The ignition barrel had an electrical contact issue that prevented one of the cables that goes from the ignition barrel to the fuse box to receive power which leaded to the air blower not working. But that's is not fixed with getting power from the ignition also but from another cable.

Is the ecu probably disconfigured because i uploaded the nutski file ? Wouldn't it configure again if i replaced his to my file again? Or the problem is somewhere else ? Probably from the clutch and brake pedal switch's? I meant the switch's because when i retrofitted the cruise like a year ago, sometimes it wouldn't engage or when it was working and if i pressed the brake or clutch it stopped working and it would only work again if i stop the car for some minutes.

If you've had the ecu remapped, it's almost certainly been reset to defaults, which means you'll need pp2000 to reactivate it

My car was already remmaped i just wanted to give a go to the nutski file, at the time it was remmaped it wasn't necessary to re-active the cruise control.

But if it was the nutski file wouldn't it work again right after i upload my file again or the configuration part blew away when the nutski file was uploaded ?

Not sure, but I don't think the remap should alter the cruise control option, as I've never had to re-enable it after downloading a map file.

It may just be bad luck that something has altered yours, but in any case you are going to need PP2000 to find out if it's still enabled........

The problem is that i have downloaded nutski file which have different hw and sw version.

I did have some faults on the ecu regarding the brake and clutch pedal sensors, but i have cleared them and it still doesn't work.

Regarding PP2000 my auto eletrician lent me the lexia interface, but i couldn't enter the engine ECU, says ecu didn't reply, tried with lots of different versions on the interface and laptop with no luck, also tried on another 406 same year and same ecu of my brother in law and it didn't work also, i guess it's a bad clone interface.

I also put nutski's file on but it was the wrong sw/hw revision. Didn't have an issue with CC though afterwards.

Have you checked the switches at the back of the clutch and brake pedals. Mine fell out once and CC stopped working.

Problem solved! It was the clutch switch that wasn't well adjusted! Even better now i don't feel the need to buy PP2000 interface.
