Get yourself a dropper, 24v - 12v from amazon etc, costs about £7 and can run any 12v in a 24v lorry. I use mine to stop melting phone chargers.......plod wrote:I'll have a look for a cool box, but need one that will work on 12v in the tranny and 24v in the lorry

Re: The Temperature
Just come back from a fun trip to the stupormarket - lowest registered temperature, after a mile or so driving in the shade, 35 degrees.
When I climbed back in it was reading 40.

Re: The Temperature
I'm interested to know~
If the temperature sensor is on the wing mirror, why is it when you are stationary and put the air con on it goes down?
Am I being a blonde again or something?

Re: The Temperature
It's not REALLY 40*C - official temperatures are taken in a shaded area and our wing mirror sensors are not, despite being under it.
The problem with UK is that noone is used to this sort of weather and all them lot in the States and Aussie land have air con - we don't. Though I doubt it's common place in continental Eastern Europe. While it's uncomfortable, I love it - it's what "summer" is.
And, yes, my air con does work

Re: The Temperature

I'm not sure how accurate the sensors are anyway, when I first got my 406 I was stuck on the M6, mid July, sweating my knackers off and my MFD said -5 degrees ' risk of ice '...

Have since replaced it but it is still only a guide to the real temperature...
My air-con is super cold, but you get too used it and then almost faint with the heat when you step out of the car
