com2000 still made by dav

i sold some old winter wheels i had lying around so decided to treat the 406 to a new com2000 as i'm sick of the indicators doing there own thing.
i bought a valeo unit from euro car parts only to find that it's mad by dav, i was under the impression that dav no longer made them so i contacted valeo to inquire and was told dav are making them for valeo the unit is date stamped 2013 so it's not old stock.

Not sure on this, but I think DAV resolved their problem, but not sure when they're 'good' from.

Hope so - I've replaced mine with a newer DAV unit, which so far is all good.

i hope so too , hopefully they are making them better now ,i had read somewhere that dav no longer existed but this is not true as confirmed by valeo tech department , the guy at valeo was very helpful he even went and checked there stock and said they were all dav units.

What actually are the differences between the bad unit and the other good ones?

Ask the guy on eBay who repairs them I guess.

I'm surprised they're still making them.

that's what i had read somewhere and when i saw euro car parts advertising a valeo one i thought i would get one, it was in a valeo box and it was only when i opened it at home i saw it was a dav unit ,that's why i decided to give valeo a call to confirm it was correct.
i might not bother indicating and then this one should last years, my last car was a bmw so i'm used to not using the indicators
