The £30 per litre will be for the fuel additive which is needed for the particulate filter to work. I've had this topped up on mine, came to £190. I've managed to clean the particukate filter, a very potchy job, and probably worth just replacing.

Gone but never forgotten: 2002 406 Coupe SE 2.2 HDi
I have just spoken to a friend of mine who is somesort of technical engine bloke and he has advised me to have the car serviced first before replaceing the filter as occasionally this warning light can be a false reading, once the computer is reset after a service it has been known for the warning light to go out - has anybody else experienced this on their motors?

i have actually been trying to design a system that will confuse the differential pressure sensor by mimicking the pressure sensors, but im still working on it

Good man!
Actually, if you think about it you could make yourself a fortune on ebay with a kit like that. I would actually NOT buy a HDi with all that crap on now. In a way I'm glad mines the older one with just a basic CAT.
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
the very latest HDi's with FAP are great, not like the 2.2 hdi in the 406, you have to remember this is very dated technology,
and it will be a while before i get anywhere near designing anything that has a remote chance of working, as it will involve rewiring the engine management and BSi to function correctly, it is possible its just gonna take a while
