How do I wire a 12S towing socket

Hi,
I have a Peugeot 406 estate with a standard tow bar with 12N electrics fitted, but I wanted to wire in the 12S socket as well so I can charge my caravan battery. I have searched and searched the Internet for instructions, but cannot find any that are of use. I need to know what parts .I need as well as how to do it. I already have the fitting plate, and 12S socket. I am fitting this for the gray plug on my caravan (Post '98).

Hi,
Yes I did have a look at that, it was helpful, but it does not tell me what parts I need, it seems that I need a relay to go on the car, fuses and some plugs to connect to the wiring harness, but i do not know which ones!

This is what I used when I wired my 12s plug http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPLIT-CHARGE- ... 10dd96,i'm not sure what year your car is but on my estate (2003) on the multipin plug that feeds the O/S rear light cluster there is a large red wire on the plug that is a dedicated feed for the towbar/charge wiring,i think it is there for when you use the specific Peugeot wiring kit (it goes nowhere in the light cluster)I fitted a fuse in the cars fusebox (it tells you in the fuse data in the handbook which one) and cut it from the multipin and used it via the relay to power fridge when towing,i don't think wire is man enough to charge the caravan battery and the fridge while on the move but all I needed was the fridge to be working.

I went to my local caravan shop and bought a Maypole Auto switching kit for £20, and managed to wire it in and all is now working. Thanks for your help.
