But they have got jobs - they make babies :roll: I suppose it's not for us to judge but part of me is heading towards "sterilise the unemployed", which certainly isn't something I'd ever like to see. He's trapped too, what sort of job would he get that would pay that sort of money? Or would the council make up the difference? I guess they would once but now? Oh boy.

I wonder what Harold Macmillan meant by "our people" - almost certainly not the same thing David Macaroon would mean...

Building them a house like that is just wrong imho
its not the kids fault mind,but if theres other familys out there struggling to pay rent, why shouid they have 3 houses knocked together, and the rest suffer

over here they only pay a small portion of housing benefit, they have to use money out of there other benefits to cover it
most of them end up moving into smaller houses,
