MPG's for a remapped 110?

Post by gumby6371 »

As the title suggests, what sort of economy does the 110 give with the 140(ish) map?

I've seen one for sale from a dealer quite close to me that might be worth a punt, looks very tidy on the surface but if I buy I'll be looking for a DPF removal and might as well have the 140 re-map while I'm at it :D

110s don't have a DPF/FAP. In theory ServiceBox states that 110s did exist in FAP flavour, but we've never seen or heard of one.

Depends on the weight of your right foot. I get anywhere between 40 and 45mpg in mixed driving. Obviously get a little bit more on a long run.

I've not noticed the difference since doing mine and my driving has been so mixed for the last few months I've had all sorts of figures... One that sticks in mind though is a 450 mile round trip plus 50 miles (over a couple of days) valley driving... That worked out at 58mpg.

Those 50 miles were school runs so that 58mpg figure can't be grumbled at can it?.....PS: no granny driving either.

Although i was driving my granny about so...

My bro's estate recorded 55+ on his last trip to Scotland, he's done about 800 miles of local driving since and the all-up average for the last 1800 miles is still better than 50.
(No way a 2.2 can match that). :(

I use mine for mainly 100 + mile runs and I get high 40's,never seen the 50 mark unless I drive like aunt Daisy,it drops down to mid 40's in the winter months.I reckon I got up to 5mpg more after the remap.

Here's another example for you i've just topped up i had done 168 miles all hills (wish it was a bit flatter around here) :x 40.84mpg.

Compare that to a good run and you're crying in your pint but think how big and comfy it is and all gear change driving and you still get that... Still can't grumble.

I was advised not to purchase used cars from areas with such Topography (look that f*cker up) as the engine suffers undue wear; firstly to the big-ends hauling the car up t'hill and then suffering heat from continuous compression cycles (but no fuel-cooling) on the downward 'lift off' phase.

Didn't consider that now did ya? :cheesy:

Yes but you could buy off me because you're wrong in just this one instance.

My big-end does not suffer because it's not hauling anything it's swinging freely in the car at a comfy 23 degrees.

The car on the other hand? Nahh that'll be f*cked by the time i finish...

Ive had mine on the 140 map for 2 years now (i think its the same map as captain jack), on average it does 40-45 thats with short trips between the house and the farm, or into the local village, on the motorway at 70 it can do 47-49mpg. Which is great considering the clio i had before it never got above 40mpg.
