Don't worry about the intermittent faults -- just clear them and see if they come back.

A chap on the coupé club when plugged into my 406 couldn't read the engine ECU, but not had that problem anywhere else. Confusing.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Try 'talking' to the individual ecu's rather than a global test - often gets round it, for a 110, you need to select engine type RHZ.

It proabably defaults to petrol, if it can't talk to the engine ecu

If they keep coming back, you have comms glitch or two, relating to the instrument panel. It's saying it has failed to receive valid data about road speed and engine rpm at some point. If it's happening a lot, you will see the speedo or tacho drop to zero, if not, it's probably not worth bothering about.

Check the connector(s) are properly plugged in, failing that consider another set of clocks, (but note it will display the higher of the two mileages recorded on either set).

I had my first play with Lexia today, my mate who does diagnostics couldn't get a Citroen Berlingo diesel started....2003 model, I went out to help him with the Lexia.

Ran through all the diagnostic procedures including Global test....reconfigured the immobiliser and cleared the many fault codes from everywhere....turned the key and off it went 8)

Very happy to have been able to sort it out :D
