handbrake lever change

Post by briangoo »

Hi all gotta change my lever as my teeth are shot. Before I pay the scrapyard a visit is it just a simple case of 3 bolts, take off electric light switch & cable. Bobs ya uncle

Spooky
I've just changed mine. If yours has the adjuster at the top, it's easy, if a bit fiddly. Undo /remove the adjuster nut, undo the 4 mounting bolts, push the grommet back through the hole the cable comes through and wiggle it out. Make sure you get the cable to go round the quadrant correctly when refitting.

Just off for a test drive......

2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

All done it was the tooth on the lever that was worn. Not much but enough I suppose
