My laptop went ' pop, ffffzzzzz ' last week, not bad considering it cost me £26 a year ago.... I have been given an old laptop ( albeit newer than mine ) from a mate at work and will put PP2000 on it later tonight - wish me luck.
I best remove the smut first though, from his one - not mine - honest..

Week commencing 11th is fine, a weekday evening would be great for me. I'm in Portswood (SO17) so reasonably central. Free every evening except Wednesday at the moment. Give me a shout nearer the time and we'll sort something out.

Does anyone know where this setting is in PP (Doggy?)? Just to save me trawling around through the endless maze that is PP2000 whilst the customer is waiting

Just re-installed PP2000 on new laptop so good to go if needed.

Jon, I think the auto-lights is in the ' test by ecu - BSI - lighting - auto-lights - disable ' iirc..?

So it appears I've fixed it! Some pikey had bridged the sidelights to the main beam, melting the wiring. Rewired and it works! I got all the way to work and the lights were still on. The true test will be my journey to Southampton on Friday.

I'd still like to have the auto lights permanently disabled though. I'll be in touch next week Jon.

Test by ECU - BSI - Configuration - Lights - Auto Headlights - Disable - F1
