Cant believe this and can anyone hlep - have just the old girl serviced and not only that i have had an new particulate filter and a completly new 5 ltrs of additive at £30 ltr put in the car. it was then put on the laptop thingie and all the sensors etc reset. Fantastic you may think :P total cost for the whole job lot £648 in VAT and labour.

Two miles down the road and the bloody light is back on again with a screen readout saying "Additive Gasoil low level reached" WHAT the F$%^£,

so returns to the garage-back on the machine and it comes up with the following.

CODE001:
Intermittent fault. Amount of additive additive low level reached.

CODE002.
Internittent fault. Additive system. Fault(s) additive accuracy.

CODE003
Intermittent fault. Amount of additive.Additive ECU

Please any ideas or what to do about it =- sounds to me that the sensor has gone a six - but this one has even stumped the garage

was this work done at a peugeot dealer or just some garage, there could be a number of problems with your car, it could be a faulty level sensor, faulty BSi (lets hope not!) or your additive tank may have a leak, if it wasnt pug who done the work your best off taking it to them just to get the codes read

Yeah unfortunatly didnt take it to Pug (thought id save myself £150) looks like in the long run going to be shedding out more.
ok will take it to them and get them to read the fault codes, im really hopeing its just the level sensor.

when you say faulty BSi can you elaborate a little for me (sorry total biff when it comes to electrics etc)

it sounds expensive - managed a really good run out of her monday night - went from west yorks to gloucester (212 miles) and managed to get an average of 53mpg at a constant 75mph on the old cruise control.

no black or white smoke from exhaust and runs really quietly and smooth, sorry cant give any more info than that, but thanks for the reply. :evil:

the particulate filter does a brilliant job of hiding almost any smoke, which is good, but can also be bad,
the BSi as an electric box invented by our friends at PSA, its a Built-in Systems Interface, it basically controls all the electrics in the car from one unit, its designed to cut down on wiring but it just make's things more complex, you may find that the garage that reset the additive fluid tank counter didnt do it properly, i have seen this quite often, thinking more about it, this is most likely the problem as the level sensor only tells the engine ecu and fap ecu if the fluid is completley out, normally it would just 'assume' how much is in the tank by when it was last filled up and how many 'cleaning cycles' have passed since it was reset
