Heater Box Motor on Constantly

Hi,

Back again with another electrical gremlin where I could do with any advice on.

Heater box motor is on full when the ignition is on. Auto and fan controls do nothing.

Car is a 2004 406 HdI S model.

Appreciate any thoughts / suggestions

Can get a replacement unit on ebay for about £15, takes 10 mins to switch

+1it worked on mine. I think it is a 6mm bolt that holds the resistor in place, my new one is an ebay £24 jobbie, still going strong...

eBay one has been fine on the Coupe for a couple of months now.

It's not too bad a job, bit fiddly to get a screwdriver in there, a flexi bit helps a lot. So does some amount of enjoyment for having one's head in the passenger footwell and one's feet on the headrest

All fitted and working fine guys. Many thanks for the advice, removal and fitting instructions.
