He's got da powah!!!!

Post by Sonia406 »

Doggy of course!
He has da powah - and the right kit to make cars pull harder and go faster...
I'm also amazed at ones driving skills too... Umm I don't usually hold on, and I didn't but I did come close... :D

A massive massive THANK YOU to Doggy for sorting Pugster out last night.
Was an horrendous journey up there, arrived 40 minutes later than expected due to roadworks, rush hour and an accident on the M40 (and someone needed a pee stop...) but we finally made it.. I am amazed at how quickly it was done and the power that's given the car.

Admittedly I got used to limp mode, on the M40 I managed a little over the speed limit

Managed better MPG on the way up there in limp mode (44.9 mpg) and on the way back 42.5mpg - but in comparison I used quarter of a tank of fuel THERE and ONLY a notch of fuel coming back  (& we were ragging it on the way back, Dave took over for the last hours worth of driving and well... absolutely floored it..)

Very very impressed at the response I get from the car... will take some getting used to though!

I know Doggy had an early start yesterday and I really appreciate that he has sorted my temperamental car out!
As he was about to write on the new map, it came up with an error... I looked down at the dash and the immobilisers fault was on, so off and on with the key again and that sorted it...

Thank you again Doggy, most appreciated!

Good good :D

So that should have the same power and torque up to 2400rpm as my 407. Shows you how impressive the 406 "180" map is.

That's the major stuff sorted out now, right?
What's left? The mystery leak, and was there something else?

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

How big is your smile when that wave of torque lifts the nose up and it takes off?? :cheesy:
Driving a 2.2 with the 180 map through the twisty stuff is great fun isn't it

I haven't really seen the decent MPG's the map delivers yet as I've been too busy destroying my tyres !!!

Ha ha, me too... :cheesy:

I have had mine down to 18mpg with a couple of days of 'enthusiastic' driving - and up to nearly 50mpg when driven safely on the motorway - my average is 44mpg so not bad really.

I find sitting at 40mph in 4th gear and just planting your foot to get through the green lights has a massive rush, followed by an ' oh sh*t - I'm doing 80..!! '

Good times....

I'm wondering if Wellys 10 second head start thingy has something more to do with zimmers and a post office. :supafrisk:
