Sounds Ok to me.

I'm guessing we're talking 24 hours here so some gentlemen can make up time with fewer fuel stops?

Just how much would it cost to feed the Volvo for say 2k miles at roughly 6 mpg?

Dont worry scotty we got it sorted , its for single turbo cars so thats CJ and
rwb eliminated ! just make sure it pisses down with rain the day before which
means sonia's sub will be carrying excess water so no threat . Doggy we can buy
off if not then threats of violence or offers of sexual favours should work

Do they still let you drive on Pendine sands ??

I think a 406 2.2 "180" could quite possibly see off me or CJ. I'd like to see 30-to-a-ton since big french diesels aren't really geared for doing 0--60. Would that level the playing field against the Volvo too?

(My 406 would need a long motorway to get to a ton  )

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Well, what I do wonder is whether the 2.2 HDI TT (twin turbo) is faster than the 2.2 CDTi engine I had in the Honda. That thing was sublime - it was a brilliant, brilliant, if utterly unreliable, engine. It would be doing 100 before I realised it (quite literally) and I did accelerate to 130mph somewhere in Belgium in it once. That was only supposed to be 136bph...

If we assume there's little to choose between a standard twin turbo 2.2 407/C5 and a remapped 2.2 406, (which personal experience suggests is the case), then I can confidently state either will run rings round the Honda.

(A "friend" has researched this extensively over the last few years). :supafrisk:
