Poly bushes

Post by 406loon »

Has anyone managed to source and fit some for the 406?

The only ones I can find are control arm lower-inner-rear kit?

Hi
I had a look for some polybushes like yourself a while back and had no luck.I thought powerflex would make something but they only seem to cater for 106's & 306's. If you find anything let me know as i've still got a few bits and pieces to do and they are made of rubber.....

Where did you see those polybushes mate? I'm busy rebushing most of the car, if I can get polys then great! You can get a powerflex lower engine mount as it's the same as the 306 etc. I fitted one to my Clio and it sharpered up the throttle and gearchange a little, but the trade off is you get increased vibration in the cabin.

...I ran poly bushes on my 850 T5 and it really tightened the handling up, but then I did fit FK coilovers at the same. Love the sound of the engine when I replaced the upper engine and bulkhead mounts in poly aswell. Would love to do the same again.

I know a company who maybe able to do a limited run of poly suspension components for the 406, they have done some one offs for my mate who is building a 400bhp 850 T5 touring car replica. I would need alot more interest on the forum though for that.

The company which does the poly bush kit for the 406 is linked below.

Totally unrelated, but also found a company that makes a genuine carbon fibre front splitter for the 406 saloon aswell.

The Powerflex Lower Engine mount Polybush for the 306 fits and makes a hell of a difference to the car ! Well worth the hassle of changing it. Kev

Ive just bought the poly lower mount. Does it make the engine note different? The reason I ask is that I did an engine mount on my 850 T5 once and it sounded evil afterwards.

Hi Greebo, Changed the lower mount on my 406 for the polybush one for the 306 . fits like a glove dead easy to do and makes areal difference..... No the engine note on my car is no different.... as I reported at the time a slight vibration on tickover is the only trade off .... as said elsewhere in this forum a job well worth doing :D

I dont know until I can get 10 people interested. At a guesstimate I reckon it would be around £120-£140 for complete kit to do all front and rear suspension bushes.

I am thinking of asking people over on the coupe forum to get some interest there.

Hi all I know this is old thread but I'm sick of changing the rear link bars that adust your camber on the rear wheels . Then again the anti roll bar end links aren't much better. I know they are only cheap but is there any pol versions of these ?????????????????
