Antifreeze (Fail)

Post by lozz »

Ive been seeing on other forums people \
buying antifreeze from asda's etc. and because it blue they've presumed they've bought antifreeze (not read lable *fail*)
a lot of antifreeze is not blue any more, Normaly white or yellow as its desighned to mix with Any type antifreeze to save
Mismatch*

so they've been topping up with screenwash  :D

ithought id mention it here incase someone else falls for it.

You'll end up with a frozen block and busted water pump but at least it'll smell nice :cheesy:

I think I threw out the best part of a gallon of antifreeze not too long back. It said antifreeze on the label, but i'd been reusing bottles and my screenwash was the exact same shade of blue. It smelled antifreezeish, but so does screenwash, so I decided not to risk it

Mate of mine used to do that, he had some Swarfega that had gone runny in various bottles, as well as antifreeze ready mixed for his bike. Eventually the inevitable happened, it took out one head gasket. If I've not written on the bottle and I don't know what's in it, it goes in the bin. This also goes for herbicide or anything else I've mixed up ready for the garden.

My nephew was out here a couple of years back, he bought two bottles of some trendy blue chemical crap drink and a chocky bar for himself, scoffed the lot and then proceeded to throw the whole lot up again  Now every time I go past the stack of screenwash I offer to buy him one.
