Just disconnect the battery for 10 mins. Make sure you've got the radio code though!Chaz wrote:Suspect my wife's turbo also not 100% - car doesnt pull proper. How I reset the ECU?

Re: Turbo troubles
Gents the issue described in this thread is exactly what I am experiencing in my 8v Petrol Turbo.
Did this ever get sorted in the end mjb?
Can someone point me to all the turbo hoses to check?

Re: Turbo troubles
Nope, the car got scrapped. The air hose to the turbo wastegate is attached to a valve at the top of the engine bay on the left behind the ECU box. The valve has 3 small hoses and an electrical pug coming off and is a good starting point

Re: Turbo troubles
So I had a look at some of the hoses and found a split in the hose which comes from the airfilter box. I have circled it on the following picture in red. From the diagram I can see this is part of the vacuum system as in some pics I can see a BOV connected to the other end.
I guess the question is would a large split in this hose cause no boost at all? It seems very possible looking at the other pipes connected.

Re: Turbo troubles
So new Solenoid ordered which fixed one issue on the vaccum but the turbo is seized solid. Decisions Decisions. Do I scrap the car as it's pretty much BER or do I replace with a recon unit?
