Indicator light stalk problem

On my newly acquired ride, when I indicate right and it goes to self cancel, it instead flicks over to indicate left, however it doesn't when the other way around.

I take it the stalk is worn, or is there an easier, cheaper fix?

Depend on what stalk it is.
on the old ones. (similar to 306/saxo/xsara etc)
you can take them apart and repair. 20min job ive done a few
