Very odd to be buying that....especially as there doesn't appear to be a diy fix.....

There is accompany that repairs them, (google)

ithink they charge 120quid or so and give you some money back - when you return your broken unit
maybe they've run out of repaired ones and are buying broken ones to fix-to get stock flowing,

Who is fixing them?
i sent a spare one last year to a company and they said it couldn't be done economically.
£120 isn't too awful a price if it means the screen will work for a good while.

lozz, that's for the Sagem displays, which are the Type B ones (which don't usually fail) :(

I couldn't find anyone offering repair services for the Type C displays!

That bing is a load of dung I find, although some of them obscure search engines that viruses keep setting up as a computers home page are useless

The sagem displays don't give any trouble other than blown bulbs, I'll send them an email and perhaps they might be interested in fixing the Siemens display, what sort of numbers do we have on here interested in getting their screen fixed?

I heard that the most commonly searched word put into almost all 'alternative' search engines was 'Google'

They didn't reply to my follow up email asking why exactly they couldn't deal with this particular screen :(
