I just picked up 4 x Michellins that have been on a 406 for only 1 week before the clutch went and car was scrapped. £100, which I think is a bargain as I can fit the wheels straight on and I got to check them over first ( shiny balance blocks etc )
These will be perfect for the Picasso as its a direct fit.

Get Goodyear Eagle NCT6's or Goodyear Eagle Vector 4 season, s/h with 5-6mm tread, from somewhere like 'The German Tyre Warehouse' at about 30 quid each delivered.
Done about 6k miles on my Pirelli Cinturato P6's so far; they seem to be going ok and haven't caused any drama in the wet or cold weather yet. Haven't checked tread depth recently though.
Please note these are not the same as P6000's, I believe they're a newer model and only came out in the last 5 years or so.

I hunted around and found that I could buy a pair of new, half-reasonable M & S tyres for less than a pair of 'budget' tyres. I ran them for a couple of thousand miles before finding a pair of wheels from a scrappy to have my 'normal' tyres fitted. I did the same again towards the end of the year, but with a pair of Winter tyres. So now have four tyres per season. My plan was to get a fifth winter tyre, but hasn't happened yet. (Note to self: Get out and do it!)
I do precisely the same, but find the winter cheapy tyres I buy don't last long, good job they are inexpensive.
I've just bought a pair of Goodyear Efficient grip performance tyres from F1 autocentres. I got the price down from £160 ( quoted over the phone ) to £113 by buying them online a few days ago, and so far they seem to suit the car quite well.

I was about to post asking if anyone had tried these. Definitely my 1st choice at the moment!
Well, I've done almost 500 miles on them so far, and they are certainly a vast improvement on the Matadors they replaced. They dont make the front feel as heavy at low speeds like the Spanish tyres did and are also much quieter when things quicken up. If theie wear rate is as good then I'll be very pleased with them indeed.
