Fuel light bingo again

Enjoyed a good game of fuel light bingo this morning.....

The light came on yesterday morning, then the miles left on the computer went to "----" on the way home from work, but I knew I was passing a relatively cheap Esso garage this morning, so I played the game. Got there anyway

I put 68.82 litres in my 70l tank (£60.50), so I reckon I could have gone another 7 miles or so . Never mind eh, I'd already done about 20 miles since the computer said "----".

Good game! I'll stretch it a bit further next time......

Im still running on my first tank of fuel since buying the old girl and im up to 626 miles, computer showing 108 remaining to next fill up.

how impressed am I seeing as this is my first ever diesel and used to running very thirsy Toyota supra's

what you have to consider is that ALL my milage is motorway at a constant 70 something miles per hour.

on the M5 at Gloucester and off the M6 at Preston onto M65 to Colne and im home (every weekend) M5/M6 juction on a friday night about 1730 (not good)

i had this problem from friday till sunday, and it seems to happen whenever my fuel was at about a quater of a tank, its quite annoying too, and the trip computer is just soo inacurate
i remember the days of my old diesel 406 where the fuel gauge would swing left and right like mad whenever i had less than half a tank
was quite interesting

Sorry, it's a game I don't play.In fact since having the coupe, I don't think I've seen the light come on (wonder if it works!!). I've had the 206 sown to --- once, was right by the petrol station though.

If my fuel light comes on when driving on the flat (it reads high downhill and low uphill), I know I've got 70-80 'safe' miles left. After that is where it gets interesting ;)

My best refueling to date is about 73 litres.
