Photobucket

Post by FarmerPug »

Has anyone found that photo bucket has got a bit shite recently, i know they changed the website a while back but the new layout seems unfathomable and everything is very slow, uploads are a bit irritating with the adverts playing.
They even stopped a plugin which used to let me upload from my computers photo viewer without visiting the website but thats gone aswell.

One way of looking at it is that its free and beggars can be choosers, but why not have a rant about it when it used to work quite well.

Never used it, but recently I keep seeing posts all over the place from people who have closed their accounts.

Yes. it's got really 'clonky' and slow of late. But as you say, it's free!

Photobucket and flickr both work great for me.

I have adblocker with Firefox which is great for blocking ads.

I use Flickr too, has been working fine for me though I've never entirely liked their user interface.

Oh and +1 on AdBlock

The only thing I found annoying was that I reached my limit and had to either pay for more storage, or sign up for *another* photobucket......

My first ever photobucket has like 30 pages in the main album, the new ones, well they only take a couple, they have obviously halfed (or more) their free storage... I'll never pay to host photos, I will just have to keep bloody signing up for new accounts
