new member! idle problem :(

G'day, Im a new member from Australia, after driving 504's and 505's for ten years ive recently got myself a 406 and im loving it

Its a 1998 Sv with ES9J4 and ZF auto, 171000klms

the sunroof packed it in but im not worried about that, only one other problem, now and then the idle will drop momentarily and recover back to normal, it will do this only intermittently without warning.

ive cleaned the idle control valve and replaced the spark plugs, but it still does it....

any suggestions?
