Re: Poly bushes
Could someone put the Link up for the lower polybush? My 406 rapier estate's engine jumps like buggery when I shut her off.. Was kinda hoping this would sort her out! And how easy is easy, as its something I've only done on suspension?

Re: Poly bushes
I wouldn't replace the bottom mount with a poly bush. It will make your life a misery due to rattles....

Do you have any photo or link on what it looks like?406loon wrote: Totally unrelated, but also found a company that makes a genuine carbon fibre front splitter for the 406 saloon aswell.
At the moment, I have put on a front lip from a Fiat Brava

Re: Poly bushes
Get a genuine bush from the dealers and it will be as good as new. Make sure it's fitted the correct way.

Re: Poly bushes
Forgot to say, for the record - I did end up getting a genuine bush, and had it fitted correctly! What a wondrous difference! Transformed the old rattle bus back into a fully functioning car. Cheers for the info, Captain! Think without your wise words, i'd be sitting with ear wax rattling out of my ears lolCaptain Jack wrote:Get a genuine bush from the dealers and it will be as good as new. Re: Poly bushes
The poly bush exercise on the Coupe side of things hasn't been without problem.
The bushes in one instance wore out after 6 months and they appear to need constant greasing if life expectancy is to be extended beyond this. They creaked like a good 'un too at first!

Re: Poly bushes
What about this stuff, apparently you can make your own polybushes, the main issue would be making a good mould to cast them in.
